Artwork Guide

Good artwork makes for a fast order and a sharp finished product. Send the best version of your logo or design that you have. Here's what works best.

Best: vector files

AI, EPS, SVG, or a PDF saved from a design program. Vector files scale to any size with clean edges, so they're ready to go with no setup fee.

Not sure if you have one? Whoever designed your logo usually does, or the shop that made your shirts, signs or business cards.

Good: a high-resolution PNG

At least 300 DPI at the size it will be made (about 1,500 pixels wide for most logos), ideally on a transparent background. Solid colors with crisp edges work best.

Will need help

  • Screenshots
  • Images saved from a website or social media
  • Photos of a printed logo, shirt or sign
  • Very small or blurry files

If we have to recreate your artwork, there's a one-time $35 charge. We keep the finished file on hand, so reorders of the same design never pay it again.

Laser engraving is one color

Shading, gradients, glows and photos don't engrave cleanly. Logos built from solid shapes and lines engrave best. Very thin lines and tiny text can fill in, so we'll let you know if anything needs to be simplified.

Full-color UV printing

UV printing reproduces your colors and fine detail. Colors on your screen can look slightly different from the finished print.

Text only?

No file needed. Type your text exactly as you want it engraved, including spelling and capitalization. If you want a specific font, include the font name.

You'll always see a proof

We email you a proof of your design before anything is made. Nothing is engraved or printed until you approve it.
